One week until Lasik

I'm not an 'Ignorance is Bliss' kind of girl, so I've been doing research on the Lasik process; aka watching tutorials and videos, reading medical articles and blog entries.  I have been making myself sick with worry watching low-fi vlogs of people getting their eyes pushed on, cut, and blasted with lasers. I'm sure once I swallow a Xanax and take a deep breath, I won't even feel a thing, but it's the very idea that freaks me out. But being scared is not a reason to not get Lasik. To be able to see again will be a fucking miracle. My blog will no longer be credible. "Life through my impaired eyes" will have to be "Life through my repaired eyes."

I'm planning on being one of those obnoxious people that vlogs before and after my lasik, you know, when I am sufficiently drugged and anxiety-free (in theory). And if the doctor lets me, I'm going to take a video of my eyes being fixed (or ruined) so that I can thoroughly disgust my children someday. Yes, internet, I am important. Now take interest in my genetic inferiority.

Thank GOD for technology.

Watch this guy. He's bizarre and overly enthusiastic.
