The world of literary magazines and dangerous blogging

I have designated this week to sending out my poetry. In addition to the lesson planning, and the hours I will spend in the library working on research questions, I WILL carve out time to submit to Cincinnati Review, River Styx Magazine, and the Asheville Poetry review. None of these poetry magazines allow submission online, so on the plus side, I could receive written feedback on my manuscripts.

After reading various friends blogs I have decided that it is not safe to ever refer to, or even hint at folks you know. Don't write about their lives, don't recreate conversations (because most likely their truth is not your truth--veracity), and certainly don't drop their names. From personal experience, I know this an excellent way to lose the truth of friends and bore readers with illusive allusion to events.

rabble rabble rabble.

On a lighter note, I was talking to X, and she said ....kidding.

OK really, I ought to get back to work.

I'm glad you posted this, because submitting work is something that I have really not done enough of. True, I don't really have that many pieces that are finished enough to submit anywhere, but that is something that I really need to work on.
