Thursday! Thursday! Thursday! has always been my favorite day of the week.

Ellen sent me this article, and it's very good. Anyone who has ever made a list of wants (of any kind) should read.

I talked to Jay on the phone for two hours on tuesday. It was a very healthy, enlightening conversation, and I feel much better about my life right now. I might even go as far to say I am hopeful.

You know how I was a nanny for a little while? (if not, now you do) In summary, I gave her a weeks notice because she was paying me something awful. I calculated that, hourly I was making $4.455, which was not only pathetic but also insulting. Her daughter was adorable and well behaved--not like one of those constantly-crying-loaves-of-flesh.

I was supposed to be working the rest of the week for her, but she paid me and said I didn't need to come back because she would need to train her new nanny. First off, this woman did not train me or even give me an adequate interview! Secondly, the new nanny is her brother's girlfriend. She doesn't need to be trained because she already has to take care of her boyfriend's child. This woman was just bitter (passive aggressive) that I didn't want to work for slave wages.

I'm driving back to Ohio on Saturday. I'm super excited. I have a hebrew school job (lol!) and I have an interview next week to be secretary of the JCC. whoa, I guess that makes me super Jewish. I haven't been a practicing Jew for four years, and I don't want to start now.

There is a bum at the library, asking people for 5$ or a ride to South French Broad. This random british woman got freaked out,  came back into the library to order the librarians to 'take care of her'. This hobo totally has the right to say whatever she wants to people just as much as this privileged Brit can grow a back bone to say no.

OK. Rabble rabble rabble. I'm going to do something productive!
